BASICS
The airport is located four miles (7 km) north of the center of Lisbon. Portugese-reading travelers are encouraged to look at the airport's Web site. If your Portugese is limited to bossa nova songs, read on.
TAXI
Taxis are available outside the arrivals hall. Agree on the fare before departing. Fare should be about 1500 escudo ($10), and travel time is about 15-20 minutes to the center. There may be an extra charge for excess luggage.
BUS
There is a Green Line (Linha Verde) bus service that goes to Santa Apolonia Station. The fare is about 260 escudo ($2), and the buses leaves every 15 minutes, from 7 A.M. to 9 P.M. Luggage space is limited, and the trip may take much longer than the taxi ride.
RENTAL CAR
Major rental car companies are represented at the airport including, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Guerin, Hertz, Interrent, and other local companies.
